Made for the Havi Egy Játék (one game a month) 2024 November jam. We kinda liked the theme "Voronoi", came up with a bad pun and essentially built a game around it. We also used the optional modifier "only 3D".

For better performance, please use a Chromium-based browser (eg. Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, etc) or the downloadable version.

Story & objectives

You control a discovery drone sent to a barren planet by your mothership to extract resources, most importantly Importantium. Build Probes to discover oil deposits and build Rigs to start extracting them from the ground. Rigs will produce barrels of oil which you must pick up and transport to the drop zone next to your base. Beware of pesky aliens who'll sometimes attack you, your buildings and the oil barrels - you can land your drone to deploy your weapon and shoot them if necessary.

Oil deposits have one of three resource types:

  • Buildium: you can spend this to build more stuff.
  • Upgradium: you can use this to upgrade your ship
  • Importantium: this is the resource you came for in the first place - try to extract and transport the target amount shown on screen to win.

The game uses the D3.js framework for generating the Voronoi diagrams for the oil deposits. We utilized Tengr.ai for enemy and building concept art, textures and the Itch cover picture.
